About the Artist
A.M.B | PAINTED RANGE DESIGNS
My name is Anna Bensch (she/her), and I am the woman behind Painted Range Designs.
I reside in New Jersey with my husband, two sons, and our dog, Bailey.
I have an educational background in biology, nutrition, and library science,
and I work by day as a Medical Librarian.
When I was younger, the first profession I answered to the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" was that I wanted to be an artist. However, I didn't work up the courage to pursue that path until my early 30s. I began making clay coasters and resin art while painting on the side as a creative outlet, but I didn't start to thoughtfully work on my painting technique until 2020. I describe my painting style as explorative art, and most of my work is inspired by the natural world. I mainly work with gouache, acrylic, and watercolor, but also love experimenting with various mediums and materials.
My drive for creating art is to explore my creative range. I strive to have my artwork inspire others to explore their creativity without limits. It is never too late to try something new and learn something completely different than what you're used to in your daily life. I believe that everyone is creative and should share their creativity with the world. The world can never have enough art, and I truly believe creativity can help heal the world.
When I'm not painting, I am is an avid hiker and camper who loves cooking, baking bread, taking walks, reading by candlelight, gardening, and watching "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit". I feel the most free and like the best version of myself when I am walking outside, and I strive to express that boundless feeling in my artwork.
